Klein & Hoffman is proud to have two stellar projects recognized among some very tough competition at the recent Structural Engineers Association of Illinois (SEAOI) Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards Celebration!
The Old Joliet Prison Stabilization won the coveted “Juror’s Favorite” with judges commenting, “This project captured the jurors’ admiration through its thoughtful integration of form and function, demonstrating exceptional ingenuity and craftsmanship that sets a new standard in structural engineering.” Congrats to the project team of Terry McDonald, SE, PE, Steven Nolin, PE, and Tom Gabel.
The Shedd Aquarium Experience Evolution Phase 2 won “Best Special Structure” with judges commenting, “A rich mixture of structural repairs, enhancements and new structural design for a beloved yet functionally very complex Chicago Museum campus building.” Congrats to the project team of Kathleen Strnad, RA, Michelle Ryland, SE, RA, Homa Ghaemi, Terry McDonald, SE, PE, Bill Ipema, S.E., P.E., Steven Nolin, PE, Joseluis Alvarez, P.E. and Angelo Cicero.
