Klein & Hoffman is the structural engineer for the four-story Milwaukee County DHHS Building with Engberg Anderson Architects acting as the prime consultant. The new steel-frame structure has unique architectural features such as the exposed “Trident Columns” at the entrance that appear to greet and welcome visitors. Other features are the rooftop terrace that extends most of the roof and the cantilever canopies which provide a break in the steely look of the façade while functioning as sunshades.
Milwaukee County’s Marcia P. Coggs Health and Human Services Center focuses on improving access for families and individuals to resources and services that address social determinants of health. Klien & Hoffman is proud to be the structural engineer for the project.
