We are thrilled to announce the addition of Matthew Groll, Associate I, to our Structures Group. Matthew holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. During his senior year, he demonstrated leadership as head captain of the UIUC Steel Bridge Team.
During graduate school, Matt served as a Teaching Assistant for two classes: CEE 465 (Design of Structural Systems) and CEE 462 (Steel Structures II). Last summer, Matt interned with us and gained valuable hands-on experience by actively participating in various engineering tasks such as performing condition assessments, conducting structural analysis, and producing construction documents. This experience allowed him to gain practical insights and enhance his expertise in the field.
Fun fact: Outside of work, Matt is an avid rock climber, a devoted White Sox fan, and has visited all 30 MLB teams’ home stadiums. He also enjoys watching Seinfeld on Netflix during his downtime.
Please join us in welcoming Matt to our Chicago team!
