Congratulations to Alesha Shaw, CPSM on earning her Certified Professional Services Marketer designation through the SMPS—Society for Marketing Professional Services.
Alesha began her journey in AEC marketing as a Marketing Assistant in Memphis, TN in 2008, relocated to Chicago in 2012, and has steadily built an impressive career across the industry. She joined Klein & Hoffman in 2015 and has served as Director of Marketing since 2024, overseeing strategy, corporate branding, campaign execution, and client development across the firm’s Chicago, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia markets.
To earn the CPSM, Alesha attended a bootcamp with fellow SMPS Philadelphia members last October and sat for the exam in March, a testament to her dedication and discipline. As she described it herself: “CPSM is one of the most respected credentials in AEC marketing, and earning it requires demonstrated proficiency across six domains that define the full scope of what AEC marketers do: marketing research, marketing planning, client and business development, proposals, promotional activity, and firm management. It demonstrates the work, the strategy, and the craft behind marketing in this industry.”
With 18 years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and marketing management from the University of Memphis, and now the CPSM designation, Alesha exemplifies what it means to lead with intention in this industry.
Currently, fewer than 15% of SMPS members hold this designation. We are proud to count Alesha among them.
