The painted brick powerhouse is founded on a bluestone dam on the Susquehanna River and has housed hydraulic equipment that has been in continuous operation since its construction in the early 1900s.  The entire hydroelectric station complex, including dam, powerhouse, wire alley and transformer house, has been declared eligible for the National Register of Historic Places.  K&H performed a condition assessment and structural analysis of the steel roof trusses and exterior load-bearing masonry walls and recommended a scope of repair work to ensure the stability of the structure that included reinforcing select steel trusses and 100% brick repointing with a mortar to match the original as determined by a mortar analysis.
