The Rookery, designed in 1888 by Burnham and Root, holds a local and national landmark status.  During a critical façade inspection K&H indentified areas of distress that required repair and restoration.  The technological challenges of the building construction required innovative restoration techniques.  A two-phased rehabilitation work plan was developed.  Corner turrets and the west parapet wall were restored under the initial phase.  Phase two addressed deficiencies on the remaining portions of the building.
