The owner of this stately structure, which has graced downtown Wilmington since the early 1900s, requested a comprehensive assessment and restoration of the hotel’s ornate 11th Street façade composed of brick, terra cotta, limestone and granite.  K&H worked jointly with a masonry restoration contractor throughout all phases of the project. The scope of repair work included historic mortar matching, brick matching, limestone repair and the creation of new cast concrete headers and jambs to match the architectural profiles of the original deteriorated terra cotta elements.
