Creating a first of its kind multi-functional facility, Sky Plaza will provide space for retail, parking, and offices that are safe from the effects of a Category 5 hurricane. An economical post-tensioned concrete framing system optimizes floor spans, yet maintains the building’s unique architectural shape. Wind tunnel tests were conducted and the results were used in producing a safe, cost-effective solution.
