The penthouse roof of this 19-story residential building had suffered damage from a severe wind storm exposing portions of the roof structure to the weather.  K&H inspected the damage, assessed the condition of the remaining single-ply PVC roof membrane, and presented recommendations for immediate damage repair and implementation of a long-term repair program.  A roofing contractor installed a temporary waterproofing membrane, until a complete roof assessment and replacement with a modified bitumen 20-year roof system was completed.  Following our review, Ownership approved the removal of the original all-weathercrete topping, built-up asphalt roof, and PVC membrane in order to install a fully adhered 20 year warranted modified bitumen system.
