K&H provided structural engineering services for the design and future construction of a new two-story, 40,000 square foot administration building for the Port Authority Transit Corporation. Design challenges for the two-story Enterprise Operations Center included confined site, poor soil conditions, a high groundwater table, extensive security needs, unobstructed sightlines into the maintenance yards, admittance of natural light into the building and a limited construction budget.
