K&H was retained to conduct a condition assessment of the roof system, the 394 deteriorated steel frame windows, and masonry façade elements of this three-story, locally-designated historic school administration building completed in 1931. K&H, in compliance with the Lower Merion Historical Commission’s (LMHC) requisites, specified the restoration of the 88 existing steel windows at the main facades and the replacement of the balance of the steel windows with aluminum systems replicating the existing configurations. K&H also produced construction documents for the masonry repair work that were subject to LMHC review.
