K&H was challenged with rehabilitating a 330-ft by 370-ft by 17-ft deep buried, reinforced concrete, 15-million gallon water tank damaged by high groundwater pressures.  Groundwater pressures had caused a portion of the tank’s concrete roof slab to collapse; crushed column concrete; permanently deformed columns; caused shear cracks in the columns; yielded column reinforcement; and cracked the mat slab. K&H focused on saving as much of the existing structure as possible to provide an economical rehabilitation plan.
