After the yacht club lost its existing dock due to the straightening of Chicago’s Lake Shore Drive “S” curve, the club’s architect called upon K&H’s extensive waterfront experience to develop a cost-effective design for an elongated pier structure that would resist lateral wave forces and accommodate small pleasure boats that ply Lake Michigan.
