Plagued by long-term water infiltration problems, the Owner’s looked to K&H to investigate and develop a recommended course of action to rehabilitate their roof and parapet walls. Because of the roof’s systemic failure and poor condition of the perimeter masonry walls and parapets a full tear-off replacement was implemented. A durable and long-lasting multiple-ply modified bitumen roofing system was specified. Upon removal of the existing roof, extensive damage to the old tongue and groove wood roof deck and significant masonry deterioration was discovered. Consulting and coordinating with the Owners and Contractor, K&H developed details that addressed the deck and masonry problems that ensured a satisfactory, on budget, completed project.
