The building on the corner of Delaware Place and Rush Street is a highrise condominium building, original constructed in the 1920’s but converted to condominiums in approximately 1990. The basement extends beyond the footprint of the building on the south and east sides of the building, underneath the sidewalk almost to the street line.

Professional Services

The concerns that prompted this project were water leaks into the basement. The project included new buried waterproofing and concrete topping slab for the entire east and south vaulted areas, concrete repairs in the basement, new crystalline waterproofing for the basement walls, and painting and other miscellaneous items.

K&H provided an initial evaluation, then developed a repair scope and documents to allow comprehensive, comparable bidding by a number of Contractors. The bids and contractors were evaluated and recommendations made to the Association. During construction, K&H provide construction administrative services, including review of submittals, processing and review of payment applications, and field visits to monitor progress and provide additional guidance and design as needed.
