Structural Engineer - Intermediate Level (Chicago, IL)
Responsibilities:
- Structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, wood and masonry structures
- Hands on Field Investigation
- Client, vendor, and contractor interaction and coordination
- Running field and construction meetings and writing field reports and meeting minutes
- Performing site visits during construction
- Assembling bid and construction documents
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering with Structures’ emphasis
- Familiarity with historic structures
- Familiarity with structural software such as: ETABS, SAFE, Enercalc, TEDDS, FastTrack, and Revit is preferred
- 3-5 industry experience
- Exposure to report writing and cost estimates
- Familiarity with assembling bid packages, construction and design documents
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Licensed or eligible to obtain the Illinois SE within the next couple of years
- Shows special interest in Concrete Repair
Structural Engineer (Philadelphia, PA)
Klein and Hoffman seeks a Structural Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in building diagnostics, structural analysis, and rehabilitation of buildings and parking structures. PE license required. Masters in Structural Engineering is required. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of all aspects of production including proposal development, survey and inspection, report writing, design, detailing, construction documents, field observations, contracts, etc. Position is within an architectural engineering environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for client relationship building. Project oversight and mentoring anticipated. Marketing interest/skills also desirable.
