Office Position
Chicago Architects or Engineers to manage its building restoration and renovation projects. Ideal candidate will have 7 to 12 years of practical experience performing:
  • technical building plan and specification reviews,
  • preparation of repair, restoration designs and detailing,
  • field investigations,
  • problem solving,
  • review of drawing preparations,
  • bid forms,
  • technical specifications for projects involving commercial and large-scale residential building façades, entrances, interior renovations, water leakage and condensation-related problem solving and window replacement, and
  • supervision and mentoring of intermediate and entry level architects, engineers and field technicians.
Working knowledge of any/all of the building systems including vintage masonry and terra-cotta, curtainwall and thin stone cladding, windows and storefronts, EIFS, roofing, foundation and plaza waterproofing of interest. Chicago Architectural Engineers with entry level to three years of experience. Candidate will be qualified to work on building restoration projects, including exterior walls. Responsibilities will include site investigations, developing construction drawings and specifications, interaction with clients and contractors. Excellent communication and writing skills a must! Professional degree required.

Chicago Inspector with minimum 1-3 years experience to act as a liaison between contractors. Candidate will perform a variety of tasks related to building restoration projects including field inspections and report preparation for building façade and structural repair projects. Solid verbal and writing skills required; architectural, structural engineering or construction related background and AutoCad knowledge a plus!

Chicago Structural Engineer with a solid technical background and strong desire to perform innovative structural design work on various types of industrial, water resource and building projects. Ideal candidate should also place a high priority on client service which will require good verbal and written communication skills. Professional registration is required; SE licence highly desired. Chicago Structural Engineers with 4 to 12 years of relevant experience in structural analysis, design, detailing, and preparation of construction documents for new buildings and renovation projects; experience with concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures required. Experience with condition assessments and report preparation, project management, ETABS and STAAD Pro structural design software a plus. Professional Registration preferred.

Chicago Structural Engineers with 1-5 years of practical and environmental structures experience. Ability to use STAADPro desirable. Knowledge in the use of ETabs/SAP2000 a plus! Immediate openings available!

New York Intermediate Structural Engineers with a minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience and BSCE Degree. Candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, investigation, design and detailing, and preparation of construction documents for new and renovated buildings, bridges, transportation facilities and environmental structures. Professional registration a plus.

Philadelphia Full-time Inspector with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience to act as a liaison between K&H and contractors. Candidate will perform a variety of tasks related to building restoration projects including field inspections and report preparation for building façade and structural repair projects. Building materials include masonry, concrete, glass and wood. Solid communication skills required; architectural, structural engineering or construction related background and AutoCAD knowledge a plus! Candidate must be detail oriented and have an enthusiasm for building restoration.

Philadelphia Full-time Restoration Designer with 0-3 years of relevant experience in building envelope restoration and structural repair. Candidate will work on a variety of projects. Responsibilities will include site investigations, developing construction drawings and specifications, and interaction with clients and contractors. Strong communication, writing and AutoCAD skills a plus! Bachelors degree in architecture or engineering required. Candidate must be detail oriented and have an enthusiasm for building restoration.

Philadelphia Structural Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience in structural analysis, design, detailing, and preparation of construction documents for new buildings and renovation projects. Experience with concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures required. Experience with condition assessments, report preparation, STAAD Pro structural design software a plus. Professional Registration required.

Philadelphia Structural/Restoration CAD Drafter with 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in structural or architectural CAD drafting. Responsibilities will include the development of accurate and organized computer generated drawings for structural and restoration projects. Daily interaction with engineering staff to accurately produce and modify drawings throughout design is expected. Site visits may be required to verify plan dimensions and take measurements. Candidate will work with K&H and/or client dictated drafting standards. Ability to read and understand construction drawings a must! Experience with AutoCAD 2002 or later required.

South Florida Architectural Project Manager with 2-5 years of experience in building condition assessment and resource planning. Ideal candidate must exhibit good communication and excellent writing skills along with an ability to organize multiple tasks. Focus is on the overall health of the building and its components. Responsibilities include assessment of existing condition of building systems, exterior façades, coordinating investigation, preparation of construction documents and construction phase administration for building renovation projects. Ideal candidate will be familiar with the southeast Florida area, Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus! Professional Degree with path to licensure preferred.
